1. Will I get to know who cares for my pet?

It’s always reassuring to see a familiar face. One who remembers you and your pet, and the reasons you’ve been in before. That’s why at Sutton Bridge Vets, Spalding we’ll always try to make sure you can see the same vet or nurse you’ve seen before so we can build up a relationship and get to know you all.

We’re a family run practice and our family includes our team and customers. Your furry friends will be given treats and cuddles, and we won’t rush things because we all genuinely love catching up with people and pets and being able to offer continuity of care for life.

2. Are they well recommended?

Word-of-mouth recommendations are key to choosing a service – especially one as important as a vet. We know we offer a great service, but it’s what others think that really counts.

We’ve already had so many lovely customers from Sutton Bridge, Terrington and Long Sutton, Holbeach, Clenchwarton, King’s Lynn and the surrounding areas join the practice and leave us great feedback, here’s just some of the lovely things said about us in Facebook reviews:

We recently moved to the area and hadn’t had chance to register to a vet in the area. I called on Thursday afternoon as my husky girl was having issues with her labour they fit me in straight away and was seen by a vet in half a hour after ringing for the first time ❤️ the vets gave me options but I advised the same thing I was I thinking so she went straight in for a C section. She was in and out of surgery within a hour and half the babies were here all safe and very noisy. Her scar is extremely small and she and babies are doing absolutely fantastic ❤️ I can’t thank Sutton Bridge enough for getting these babies here safe. They are a very special litter to me as the dad is my 13 year old male who we lost both of his sisters this year. We opted to give AI a chance to try one last ditch attempt for puppies from that line and was told that we would only have a 10% chance of the litter working. So to have 3 very beautiful healthy strong babies I’m over the moon. They are all staying with us so will be back at Sutton when they need their vaccinations ❤️ thank you again Sutton bridge and thank you for the phone call the next day to see how they were getting along ❤️ 100% recommend these for such a caring vets it’s a breath of fresh air xxx
I had to bring Dolly to you this morning, and leave without her... absolutely gutted..but all of your staff were amazing..very compassionate, especially as I don't like showing my feelings in public.❤️ just thankyou so much....
What a difference a decent veterinary practice makes!! I was desperate to find a good veterinary practice due to the complete incompetence of another practice that let my dog escape shortly after he had had surgery on his foot!! After meeting with Sutton Bridge Veterinary Clinic they gained my trust & both of my dogs have received veterinary care to the highest standard. I really cannot praise them enough. All the staff are on the ball, friendly & know their stuff. Thank you for giving me peace of mind 🤗
This is what good vets used to be before dreadful big business took over. I am very impressed with this vets. It was a Saturday, my vet wanted me travel further and to pay a ' out of hours' supplement. Phoned Sut.B.Vets they could not have been nicer. Saw me quickly, very through examination from the vet. She explained and discussed everything with respect, did not talk down to me. The receptionist/nurse was lovely, most helpful. She even cut a pill for my cat into 8ths for me. Great that you have continuation seeing the same vet each time you visit, they get to know you and your animal. Also received a detailed receipt listing every thing. No out of hours supplement!
Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic service, compassion and after care support from everyone at Sutton bridge vets it was amazing that you were able to save our cat Dib in the nick of time. Thank again for all you have done we hope to have many more years with our furry babies. Special thankyou to Christina for the advice and answering our questions. Strongly recommend this vet for your pets needs.
Took my cat and registered him here as he was feeling under the weather. We need a vets close to home, owners of cats will understand 💩💩🤢.
Fit him in to be seen the same day, very friendly caring and compassionate team, and Freddie cat is feeling much better already, if slightly more gummy! Thank you all 😍
very professional
caring and very respectful and reasonable and Tomasz and staff was excellent with elsa my dog and elsa is now fast asleep a big thank you fròm Mrs bell and elsa keep up the great work that you doing highly recommend
So friendly my dog Marley was due to be put to sleep as I thought nothing else they could do for me went in and said they could op on him price was reasonable so happy I’ve still got my boy
Brought my 3 legged black and white cat in for his annual injections. He’s had a lot of vet visits in his life for various conditions so hates going normally. We were sensitively informed our appointment would be delayed as an emergency had come. To which I said that’s fine, you never know when you may need an emergency appointment. When the vet saw him he was very gentle and listened to the vet history of Socks. I was worried as socks is nearly 17 years old but Tomas assured me for his age he’s doing fab. I’ve already been recommending this independent vets to everyone as I have become disillusioned with big chained vets where it’s all about the money and not the care of the pets and owners. Special mention of Simmone and Sherrie too. Lovely ladies and can’t do enough to help you
Took my dog Mika to have her nails clipped this morning, while I was there I informed the nurse Simone that I had noticed some discharge from her right ear. The nurse had a quick look and asked the vet Tomas to come and have a look. I thought I was going to have to make a separate appointment but the vet was very helpful, gave advice and a prescription there and then. Absolutely lovely people and building. I can not recommend this Veterinary Practice enough. Thank you.
Visited today with my dog Luna, lovely welcome from the staff on reception and a professional, informative consultation with the vet. Fees seem lower than other practices in the area, felt like real value for money. Very nice facilities, lots of space, easy parking and access. This practice is a very welcome addition to the village and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
I took Jessie last Friday the service was excellent Tomasz was very thorough alongside medication for Jessie's pulled muscles in her leg I had medication for the fireworks they were a combination of Calmex which made her drowsy & Gabapentin capsules. They did the trick but it's a pity that we have to drug our pets so that they do not get anxious & stressed. Please think about buying low noise fireworks in future.
absolutely fantastic service, took our little lady stella for her spay today, she was fussed and loved by vets and really made to feel safe, I had everything from pre checks, operation and after care explained to be before I left her there, a phone call to tell me how it went and how Stella was and when I picked her up they went thru everything again. made another appointment for her in a few days time and explained that is I had any worried or issues they would see her straight away. absolutely outstanding service and such Friendly veterinary care. 100% recommended to everyone. thank you.
Very friendly, efficient service, lovely people. Would highly recommend. The vet was so very confident and thorough. Happy to talk through any issues or concerns. Both my cats had nail trims in the space of a week, and made it look so easy, both cats were calm - it was an amazing experience. And living so close to the practice, meant i could walk over with the cats in their carriers, instead of a 20 min drive (both ways) - less stress all round for everyone.
My son took his pup here yesterday, great vet and so honest. He could of easily of done jabs just to take the money but he didn't. Advice was greatly appreciated. Glad we took the pup here. We'll done guys!
Great vets! sadly we lost our boy today, the vet clinic was fantastic, ALL the staff from the receptionists to the vet and the nurse were amazing! They were all caring and compassionate, thank you all so much for making the worse experience bareable it meant the world to us x
I would definitely recommend Sutton Bridge Veterinary Clinic. Called them at 5:30 this evening as my little dog became ill. They said to come straight Down. Thank you for seeing us at short notice. Thank you for caring.

3. Is this a cat-friendly practice?

Going to the vet can be a really unnerving experience for your cat, especially if there are dogs and other scary animals in the same place. To help your cat find it all a bit less intimidating, we continue to make changes to help create a more relaxing environment for your pets.

Once the final stage of our practice build is complete, we’ll have; a cat-only waiting area, a cat consultation room, and a separate cat ward for any hospital stays where we do all we can to keep them calm.

We use plug-in facial pheromones so they feel safe and relaxed and our kennels are spacious so that there are plenty of places to relax or hide.

We will be applying for Cat Friendly Clinic status with iCat Care once the next stage practice build is completed, more details are available on their website https://catfriendlyclinic.org/

4. Is it easy to park?

A spacious car park is available in front of the practice, which means you’ll be right outside, and you won’t need to waste any time finding somewhere to leave your car.

5. Is this the right practice for my nervous pet?

Some pets can be very anxious about visiting the vets, either because they’re naturally wary of new situations or because they associate it with something uncomfortable or unpleasant. We recognise that dealing with an anxious pet is as stressful for owners as it is for the animal going through it.

At Sutton Bridge Vets, we’re trying to change that.

We aim to develop a healthy and trusting relationship with your pet, not frighten them and make them dread the next trip. Examining a nervous animal is also tricky, so it enables us to take much better care of them if they’re happy.

Our practice will offer separate cat and dog waiting areas, and separate cat and dog wards. Any hospitalised cats and dogs will always be kept away from one another. If your pet doesn’t like entering the practice, you’re free to wait outside in the car park before your consultation. We also actively encourage dog owners to pop in whenever they’re passing so your pooch can have a cuddle and a treat before continuing their day. This helps send positive messages to them that good things happen here too!

6. Is this practice going to make my life easier?

Life is busier than ever, and keeping up with essential preventative healthcare basics can easily slip through the net.

Our Sutton Bridge Pet Club will help you with that.

We will make sure that your pet is protected all year round from fleas, mites, worms and ticks, all routine vaccinations are included, and you will benefit from discounts on key services including dental treatments, neutering and more.

We’ll remind you when treatments are due, and make sure we keep on top of your pet’s wellbeing. This is not only good for your pet’s health and happiness but also good for your pocket as we can often tackle any problems before they become expensive.
