1. Will I get to know who cares for my pet?
It’s always reassuring to see a familiar face. One who remembers you and your pet, and the reasons you’ve been in before. That’s why at Sutton Bridge Vets, Spalding we’ll always try to make sure you can see the same vet or nurse you’ve seen before so we can build up a relationship and get to know you all.
We’re a family run practice and our family includes our team and customers. Your furry friends will be given treats and cuddles, and we won’t rush things because we all genuinely love catching up with people and pets and being able to offer continuity of care for life.
2. Are they well recommended?
Word-of-mouth recommendations are key to choosing a service – especially one as important as a vet. We know we offer a great service, but it’s what others think that really counts.
We’ve already had so many lovely customers from Sutton Bridge, Terrington and Long Sutton, Holbeach, Clenchwarton, King’s Lynn and the surrounding areas join the practice and leave us great feedback, here’s just some of the lovely things said about us in Facebook reviews:
Highly recommend.

3. Is this a cat-friendly practice?
Going to the vet can be a really unnerving experience for your cat, especially if there are dogs and other scary animals in the same place. To help your cat find it all a bit less intimidating, we continue to make changes to help create a more relaxing environment for your pets.
Once the final stage of our practice build is complete, we’ll have; a cat-only waiting area, a cat consultation room, and a separate cat ward for any hospital stays where we do all we can to keep them calm.
We use plug-in facial pheromones so they feel safe and relaxed and our kennels are spacious so that there are plenty of places to relax or hide.
We will be applying for Cat Friendly Clinic status with iCat Care once the next stage practice build is completed, more details are available on their website https://catfriendlyclinic.org/
4. Is it easy to park?
A spacious car park is available in front of the practice, which means you’ll be right outside, and you won’t need to waste any time finding somewhere to leave your car.
5. Is this the right practice for my nervous pet?
Some pets can be very anxious about visiting the vets, either because they’re naturally wary of new situations or because they associate it with something uncomfortable or unpleasant. We recognise that dealing with an anxious pet is as stressful for owners as it is for the animal going through it.
At Sutton Bridge Vets, we’re trying to change that.
We aim to develop a healthy and trusting relationship with your pet, not frighten them and make them dread the next trip. Examining a nervous animal is also tricky, so it enables us to take much better care of them if they’re happy.
Our practice will offer separate cat and dog waiting areas, and separate cat and dog wards. Any hospitalised cats and dogs will always be kept away from one another. If your pet doesn’t like entering the practice, you’re free to wait outside in the car park before your consultation. We also actively encourage dog owners to pop in whenever they’re passing so your pooch can have a cuddle and a treat before continuing their day. This helps send positive messages to them that good things happen here too!
6. Is this practice going to make my life easier?
Life is busier than ever, and keeping up with essential preventative healthcare basics can easily slip through the net.
Our Sutton Bridge Pet Club will help you with that.
We will make sure that your pet is protected all year round from fleas, mites, worms and ticks, all routine vaccinations are included, and you will benefit from discounts on key services including dental treatments, neutering and more.
We’ll remind you when treatments are due, and make sure we keep on top of your pet’s wellbeing. This is not only good for your pet’s health and happiness but also good for your pocket as we can often tackle any problems before they become expensive.
